REPRESENTING the Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs at the European Rural Youth Rally in Belfast last week were, from left, Kim Taylor, Michael Rattray, Lucy Mitchell, Stuart Jamieson, Gemma Bruce, James Gemmell and Eilidh McCulloch, who had SAYFC national chair Stuart Jamieson as team leader.
The team spent a week in Belfast with eighty other Young Farmers from all over Europe, attending workshops, going on tours and working on team building.
“Bridging Diversity, Growing Together” was the overall theme of the event, which aimed to help participants share realities about their home communities around Europe, their structure, common employment fields, culture, language and living environment, whilst becoming more aware of diverse ethnic and religious groups, gender and sexual orientation minorities and individuals with disabilities – and share best practise in relation to social inclusion and equity within their own organisations and communities.
