FIONA PURVES recently returned home to Craiglaw Farm, Rumbling Bridge, Kinross to find her partner, Ian Harley, sat in the field on top of a pile of silage bales, which spelled out: "Will you marry me?"

Alongside this big question were a 'yes' and a 'no' bale, and the tractor and wrapper was sat ready so Fiona could wrap a bale and leave him her answer! The ring box was sat in the passenger seat in the tractor covered in silage wrap.

"The funny thing was we had fallen out the night before as I was learning to bale and was 'choking his baler' and he was getting a tad annoyed, so I took the huff and got out the tractor and went back to the house," Fiona recalled. "Looking back, knowing what he had planned, no wonder he was a bit sensitive knowing he needed the baler worker for his grand proposal the next day!"

Through her tears, she wrapped the 'no' bale – without choking the machine – to leave him the 'yes' answer he was looking for!
