THE SCOTTISH arm of the UK’s largest agricultural finance brokerage company is to open a new office at United Auctions’ Stirling Agricultural Centre as it expands into the east coast of Scotland.

Rural Finance, which specialises in rural business, retail, vehicle and commercial finance, is opening in Stirling for the first time, with a second-floor suite at the headquarters of Scotland’s leading livestock auctioneers.

The company, which is made up of a network of rural financial specialists operating throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, deals annually with more than £120million of business. The move to Stirling aims to extend the reach of the Scotland branch beyond its Ayrshire base where it has been operating since 1990.

UA group managing director Neil McLean said: “We are delighted to welcome Rural Finance to Stirling. The Agricultural Centre has attracted national agricultural brands to open offices in the City of Stirling, many of whom have since grown and taken more space here. The addition of this independent finance broker broadens the centre’s offering and provides an important service for customers.”

RF's managing directo in Scotland, Andrew Glover, said: “Stirling Agricultural Centre is the ideal base for our work with the farming community, affording direct access to new and existing customers on a weekly basis in a central location from which we can build our service across the east coast.”
