POTATO GIANT Albert Bartlett has created a one-off ‘Spudsey’ Bear for the BBC's Children in Need campaign.
Debuting at CarFest South, a weekend long event at Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire, which raises money for the charity, the food sculpture marks Bartlett's fourth year supporting the charity, via a donation of 4000kg of Homestyle Rooster Chips to cook and sell.
Food artist Prudence Staite was commissioned to create ‘Spudsey’ Bear using 580 kgs of potatoes, made up of ten varieties including Albert Bartlett’s famous red Rooster and Purple Majesty.
