THERE WERE 154 children at last week's RHET Food and Farming day at Hilton of Aldie farm, Kinross.
Kids from five schools visited the farm, where they were presented with six different stands, each of which gave them insights into different parts of the farming industry, including dairy, beef, sheep, deer and beekeeping. RHET teaches children across Scotland about how their food gets from the farm to their dinner table, and puts on as many events as possible – but funding for the trust is crucial. RHET hopes to continue educating children about the agricultural industry, and said that all donations, whether big or small, would be greatly appreciated.
