CHANGES could be on the cards for the poultry section at next year's Highland Show, as moves appear to be being made to shake up the popular competition.
Invites are reported to have gone out this week for a 'focus group' that RHS organisers are holding with regards to the poultry section. To be held in January, the plan is to bring exhibitors, industry professionals and show staff together to look at the section, and decide if anything should change, or if things should be kept as they are.
The need to hold this meeting – which is something that the show society said periodically takes place for all livestock sections at the show – has meant a delay in the release of the list of poultry judges for 2017's event, but these are expected early in the New Year.
