DAIRY farmers have every justification to be angered by the antics of trade umbrella organisation, Dairy UK, which, somehow, manages to believe that all is hunky dory in the UK milk market. However, they should not be surprised.
Despite Dairy UK's remit to represent producers as well as the trade, it has never really done so and has, at every turn, sided with trade organisations at any hint of conflict.
Many producers are now publicly saying that it is no longer fit for purpose and should be re-configured or even disbanded. It is hard to disagree!
