GIANT emoji’s will appearing in farmers’ fields after this year's first cut of silage, as part of a Carrs Billington Agriculture competition to support WellChild, the national charity for seriously ill children.

Farmers will be challenged to create their emoji-inspired displays from silage bales wrapped in WellChild’s colour purple, customised with special emoji packs provided by Carrs Billington.

The company will be donating at least £10,000 this year to support WellChild’s work. As part of that support, it will be distributing the purple silage wrap and netwrap supplied by Zeus Packaging Group, and asking farmers and contractors to show their support by choosing to buy purple.

Farmers taking part in the competition can send in photos of their emoji creations to be displayed on the WellChild and Carrs Billington Facebook pages. The farmer whose emoji bale display is judged the best, will receive two tickets for the prestigious WellChild Awards 2017 which will take place in London later this year – a star studded event, which is attended by a host of celebrities, and often by WellChild Patron Prince Harry.

But anyone can take part in the competition – if you spot the Emoji bales in a field, take a picture on your phone, tag the location and post it on social media including @CarrsBillington and the hashtag #spottedpurple. Each time a person does this with a photo of different bales, they will be entered into a draw to win £200 of Carrs Billington vouchers.
