A front mounted tank carrier will be launched at Grassland and Muck (May24 and 25) by specialist manufacturer, PFC.

The system is matched to PFC’s recently introduced 300 Series of automatic applicator and electronic manual high output applicator systems for additives.

Available painted or galvanised, the UK-built carrier and tank can carry a 410-litre preservative tank. It means that for round and small square balers, which would normally have 100, 200 or 210-litre capacity tanks, there’s less time lost when refilling.

It also reduces the weight on the baler and is easier to refill.

It is suitable for use with silage additives and inoculants, as well as the Baler’s Choice buffered hay and straw preservative.

The frame also carries a pump and pump controller which means essentially the only component mounted on the baler is the spray bar above the intake. On the fully automated system, moisture sensors are also on the baler.
