THIS year’s East Region stockjudging competition was held at the Ishmail family’s Fordel Farm, Glenfarg, where a range of six classes of Aberdeen-Angus cattle were presented and judged by Jim Brown, Gaindykehead.

The visit gave members an insight into the family’s genetically managed stock and welcomed members of the Aberdeen-Angus Young Breeder Society. Competitors were also able to practise their reason giving on an Angus bull.

Taking the lead in the open section was Dora Smith, while Calum Smith won the SAYFC section and Hannah Baldwin led the Angus young breeders.
