THERE'S BEEN a first at Balthayock, where a set of Charolais triplet calves – two bulls and a heifer – have arrived, all very healthy and full of life and all weighing a very impressive 38kg. The dam was Balthayock Fantasia, who is a full sister to Balthayock Ferdinand, the sire of their highest selling bull from the herd Justice, who sold for 50,000gns. The sire is Balthayock Impression, the highest rated bull in the breed. Pictured here with the new arrivals are Major David Walter, his son James, and James and Jen’s son Sam.
