NEW SEASON 100% Scotch lamb is now available in ALDI’s 73 stores in Scotland.

Honouring its commitment to support Scottish farmers, the retail chain's shelves will be stocked with PGI certified new season Scotch lamb – legs, steaks, chops, liver and mince — all supplied by Scotbeef and packaged in 'Nature’s Glen' branding.

Scotbeef account manager Nick Watkin said: “ALDI’s support for this range of new season Scotch lamb products is testament to how they value the quality of produce supplied to customers.

“We make sure that each product is sourced responsibly and sustainably to ensure Scotland’s farming industry is well represented and partnerships like this play a huge part in making this feasible.”

ALDI's buying director for Scotland, Marion MacCormick, said: “Sourcing the finest fresh meat from farmers in Scotland is a top priority for us and we are proud to stock 100% Scotch Lamb in all our stores north of the border.

“Supporting Scotland’s farming industry is vitally important, and when shoppers visit ALDI they can buy the best quality Scotch meat at the best possible price.”

NFU Scotland president Andrew McCornick commented: “ALDI’s commitment to stocking Scottish meat is a great support for our industry. Our goal is to try and make sure the quality and provenance of Scottish produce is celebrated as much as possible to help ensure the sustainability of Scottish agriculture. Retailers like ALDI who provide their customers with quality Scottish meat, like this new season lamb, play a vital role in raising the profile of the Scottish farming industry.”
