A ROYAL Highland Educational Trust Countryside Day was recently held at Gilston Mains, Leven, by permission of Edward Baxter and 4 Front Farming, which saw 310 Primary 6 and 7 pupils attend from schools in the local area.

In total, 45 volunteers helped on the day, including nine members of East Fife JAC, and 11 demonstration stations were set up, including sheep shearing, machinery, pond activity and cows and calves.

Each school took part in all of the available activities, while TV presenter Arlene Stuart came with Parkhill Primary School, Leven for the day, filming for the Landward programme.
