TEAM DLF Seeds set themselves a real challenge when they embarked on an epic charity bike ride from Land's End in Cornwall to John o' Groats in Scotland – but on Sunday July 9, they crossed the line, having ridden the gruelling 900miles in just 8.5 days.
"We are delighted to have taken on this challenge and although pretty tired at times, the excellent team spirit and fantastic support has kept us going," said Tim Kerridge, DLF managing director and team leader. "So far we have raised more than £5000 for Alzheimer’s Research UK, Diabetes UK and The Cure Parkinson Trust which makes it all worthwhile."
At the half way point, the team was also very kindly hosted by Forfarmers for lunch at their Penrith site, where they received a very generous donation along with a good feed to keep them going.
The team has a fundraising target of £10,000 and there is still time for people to donate at: www.justgiving.com/teams/DLFLEJOG2017
