CLAIMING the supreme horse title at Kirriemuir Show was The Ultimate Legacy, an eight-year-old chestnut gelding from Pam Simpson and ridden by daughter Emily.

The small hunter has done well so far this season, standing intermediate hunter champion and reserve hunter at the BSPS Summer Show, as well as reserve supreme at Hambleton Show in Yorkshire. Sired by Kilvington Scoundrel, which has bred a number of top show horses, Legacy is out of Thatchers First Draft, and Irish Draft mare, and the Simpsons are chasing his HOYS ticket this year.

In reserve overall was the winner of the mountain and moorland section, Passford Pollyanna from Lynneanne Cameron and Alison Walker. This four-year-old Welsh section C, by Windmill Teal and out of Barwoods Victoria, was on her fifth outing of the year and was totalling three championships and two reserves.
