NO LESS than 75 tractors, one lorry, and a vintage Macbrayne's bus travelled to Bute to join local enthusiasts, making a total record entry of 116 vehicles for the island's annual road run.

Entrants came from all over the UK, with the run being flagged off by Tom Cromack MBE, founder member and first secretary of the club, onto its route, which took them over many of the island's roads, concluding at Isle of Bute Sailing Clubhouse.

The proceeds of this year's run will be divided equally between Bute Befrienders and St Margaret of Scotland Hospice (Photographs: Zak Harrison)
