John Deere has purchased Mazzotti, a privately-owned sprayer manufacturer based in Ravenna, Italy.
“Mazzotti is known for its innovation as well as its unique knowledge, designs and expertise in the sprayer industry,” said John May, Deere and Co’s president of its agricultural solutions division and chief information officer.
The sprayer maker is a 30-year-old family owned business and will maintain its name, trademark, and commercial agreements, but will “now have the full support and commitment of John Deere to enhance its already successful sprayer business”.
John Deere already has its own sprayer manufacturing capacity and with this purchase the speculation is that it will now have a broader range at its disposal.
