HIDDEN amongst the expensive shiny tractors and combines at this year’s Royal Highland, Wox Agri Services had the answer to the prayers of many slurry contractors – it’s new hose pinch.
This simple, British-made device provides an efficient and effective answer to stopping the flow through lay flat hoses used in slurry and irrigation work.
The hose is pinched between two rounded smooth surfaces to ensure a point pinch but not damaging the hose, with pressure applied by the screw jack. This applies even pressure across the hose for a good seal.
This useful piece of kit allows both the safe breaking of couplings and maintenance without the contents running everywhere, including the ditches.
Wox Agri Services is based at Stannington, Morpeth, in Northumberland
