TOP price at Harrison and Hetherington’s annual show and sale of North Country Cheviot and Hill Cheviot wedder lambs at Lockerbie, on Tuesday, was £58 per head paid for the champion pen. 
The sale, which attracted an entry of 1000 wedder lambs, saw judge Neil Conaghan, West Scales, find in his choice of champion winners in a pen from RJ Menzies, Chanlockfoot, Thornhill which sold for £58 to Kevin Saunders.
The second prize pen from Castle Crawford, made £54.50, with the third prize winners making £50 per head for Cleuchfoot.
Outwith the prize winners lambs sold to £56 from Stirkfield with the overall average levelling at £49.27.
