Aberdeenshire breeder, Deborah Atkinson, Insch, came home in style from a Blue Texel sale at Worcester, having purchased the lead price lot at 2350gns.

Her purchase was the January-born ram lamb, Xana Black Magi from Emma Carr and her aunt, Mandy Friend's Kent-based flock from Deal. A son of the show tup, Sacombe What A Boy, he is out of a Sams-bred ewe by Millend Whirlwind.

A Bandit from Chris Davies' Beaconsview flock from Powys, Brecon, then made 1850gns selling to Rhys Cooke, Aberavenny. Beaconsview Bandit is by Saltire Blue Awesome and bred from the Whatmore Wonder daughter, Beaconsview X-ray, a three times inter-breed champion. He found a new home with Rhys Cooke, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, for his Nantyderri flock, when he paid 1850gns.

The same buyer also went to 1600gns for the male and overall champion, a ram lamb from Paul Tippetts and Christine Williams' Hackney flock from Shifnal, Shropshire. He is by the record priced, 17,000gns Joe’s Alvin and out of a Whatmore Siren daughter, Hackney Yum Yum.
