THE Scottish Farmer has teamed up with Grandstand Media to offer two readers the chance to win a pair of Horse of the Year Show Sunday evening performance tickets.

The winning tickets will give you full day access to the HOYS Retail Village and evening access to the Andrew Bowen International Arena at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, on Sunday, October 8.

Other highlights on Sunday evening’s line up include:

  • Virbac3D Worming Pony Club Mounted Games- Prince Philip Cup Finale
  • International Showjumping- Leading Showjumper of the Year
  • Atkinsons Action Horses presenting LIMITLESS
  • The Story of the Caspian Horse
  • Shire Horse of the Year Championship
  • Ruckleigh School Supreme Pony of the Year Championship

The winners of the prize will have access to the Andrews Bowen International Arena for the evening performance, where they will have a dedicated seat. The winners will also have full day access to the HOYS Retail Village from 9am through to 8.3 pm where they can meet the societies in the Societies and Seating Zone, get involved with the demonstrations in the HOYS Live Zone and find out more about the endangered breeds on display in the Meet the Horses Zone.

New for 2017 is the HOYS Live Zone. This new staging area, located in the HOYS Retail Village provides visitors the chance to interact with a great line up of guest speakers, celebrity rider signings and talks from leading industry experts, giving visitors with the opportunity to get more involved than ever before. Some of the highlights include; Equestrian Pilates specialist Sue Gould-Wright, Simon Constable Equine Vets, ‘What’s HOT’ in the industry and rider signings. This year at Horse of the Year Show there’s a lot to look forward to including two never seen before displays; The aptly named ‘Story of the Caspian Horse’ and Atkinsons Action Horses preforming ‘LIMITLESS,’ both of which demonstrate the complexity and adaptability of the horse.  And if that’s not enough then you can immerse yourself in the 250 retail stand shopping paradise. Hosting the finals of the most highly regarded national Showing and Showjumping Championships, alongside International Showjumping, the Show will once again welcome over 1600 horses and ponies, 1500 competitors and around 65,000 spectators for another unforgettable week of equestrian entertainment. With so much to offer under one roof, you won’t know where to begin!
