CLOWNING around - this entry was produced by Crossroads YFC, and will be judged out of the final six by Lorraine Kelly

Started a few years ago in the Dumfries and Galloway district, a west area competition was held last year, and it has now gone national.

The Scottish Farmer:

FARMER wants a wife was the theme from Strathearn JAC, which is one of the final six

In all, 51 different bale arts have been entered, with some outrageous and entertaining ideas making the list.

The Scottish Farmer:

THORNHILL YFC's cute top-six entry of Bill and Ben

Judging the competition this year will be TV presenter, Lorraine Kelly, and the result is to be announced next week.

The Scottish Farmer:

VALE OF Alford JAC's entry made the final six, and it's clear the club wanted to stick to a farming theme

Until then, six finalists have already been chosen by Quality Meat Scotland. Do you agree with those? Who would you choose as your winner?
