A COUPLE from Derbyshire are making a stand for British farmers and British wool on a seven-day educational tour of Great Britain to mark this year’s Wool Week.
David and Karen Griffiths are right now travelling up and down the country with their ‘Woolly Roadshow’ promoting British wool, British sheep and the Rare Breeds Survival Trust.
At each venue ‘The Woolly Roadshow’ is being joined by members of the RBST, National Sheep Association and British Wool producers, offering displays of native sheep breeds local to that area, together with hand-spinning and/or felting demonstrations.
Pictured here, the Griffiths pitched up in Glasgow's Buchanan Street on Tuesday of this week, with Donna Duncan of the local RBST providing a wee selection of Shetland, Hebridean and Moorit sheep to catch the attention of the passing public.
