The competitors participated in the clipping classes, followed by stockjudging, where they presented reasons in front of all other competitors, while they also took part in the heifer and showmanship classes.

In the Senior Showmanship competition, Doherty was placed ninth and Booth came 17th, while the junior team, saw Dennison claim first place, and gold, while Nutsford was placed 11th.

Judge Thomas Ender, from Switzerland, described Rosie as an "easy winner" for her performance.

National HYB coordinator for Holstein UK, Miriam Bagley, who joined the team in Italy, said: “Holstein Young Breeders is extremely proud of our four competitors, Rosie, Jodie, James and Will, who all excelled in cattle showing, judging, knowledge and clipping on an international stage.

"Coming back from this highly competitive and demanding show with so many outstanding placings, including one gold, is a real testament to the quality of our young breeders here in the UK. The three days spent in Cremona provided our competitors with valuable learning, showmanship development and confidence building – it has been an exceptional show. Well done to team UK."
