FIFE FARMERS have been offered a chance to hear representatives of the Scottish Environment Protection Agency explain the Diffuse Pollution Binding Rules relating to agriculture and Fife’s Diffuse Pollution Priority Catchments.
NFU Scotland has organised a meeting to explore the issue on Wednesday November 22, at the Lomond Hills Hotel, Freuchie, where SAC will also be in attendance to discuss potential funding avenues to assist farmers in putting right any areas of pollution concern.
As future EU funding for such works may be limited after Brexit, the union suggested that now was the time to get up to date with the rules and related schemes.
All union members are welcome. Any queries should be directed to Kate Maitland on 07919 001239
