A junior bull from Derek Hume's Culnagechan herd from Randalstown, picked up the section championship and sold for the top price of 5000gns at a Limousin Society show and sale at Dungannon, Northern Ireland.

His 16-month-old entry, Culnagechan Muller, is by Iveagh Gilkes, out of Culnagechan Elite, and headed to a new home with F and A King, Warrenpoint, Newry.

Senior male champion was Greenvale Mark from William Sherrard, Co Derry, which sold next at 3400gns. This April 2016-born son of Ampertaine Gigolo was knocked down to A Downard, Markethill, Co Armagh.

Annadale Marshmallow, a similarly aged bull by Ampertaine Foreman, followed that at 3300gns. Bred by Christopher Murray, Cullyhanna, Newry, Marshmallow, he sold to Pat Casey, Crossmaglen, Co Armagh.

The select entry of females saw the section champion, Kilclass Lullaby, a two-year-old heifer by Ampertaine Elgin out of Larkhill Harmony, sell for the top price of 2300gns. Consigned by Dermot McCusker, Castlewellan, Co Down, Lullaby was purchased by M and R McGurk, Cookstown, Co Tyrone.
