ANOTHER WEEK and another case of needless injury due to sheep worrying by dogs.
Two in-lamb ewes near Jedburgh were left with serious facial injuries which needed a vet to stitch up after a dog was let off the lead in the field. It is still unknown how many of the sheep in the field will lose their lambs due to the stress.
NFU Scotland, which first highlighted this latest case on their social media, is working with Police Scotland to try to stop these serious instances which have become far too frequent over the last few years.
