POLICE SCOTLAND has confirmed that its is carrying out 'enquiries' involving the Aberdeen Angus Cattle Society at its headquarters in Perth.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We have received a report in relation to alleged financial irregularities at the Aberdeen Angus Cattle Society. Enquiries are at an early stage and are ongoing.”
AACS chief executive Barrie Turner told The Scottish Farmer on Tuesday of this week: “As of today’s date there is an ongoing police enquiry that involves the Aberdeen Angus Cattle Society.
“We are assisting the police in every way in order that we can bring this to a conclusion.”
