Looking across the flood hit farms in the Nith Valley, near Dumfries
Many hundreds of sheep are feared drowned after the Nith Valley, in Dumfries-shire, experienced one of the worst flooding incidents in recent times following torrential rain just prior to Hogmanay.
Breeding company, Innovis, lost 40 ram lambs to the floods, with many others in the area also losing stock.
Serious flooding was also recorded in the Clyde Valley, causing the M74 to be shut for some hours.
