Stranraer and Rhins YFC was crowned overall winner at the Dumfries and Galloway District Rally, where six clubs competed for the top title.
The clubs – Stranraer and Rhins YFC, Machars YFC, Stewartry YFC, Lower Nithsdale YFC, Annandale YFC and Thornhill YFC – took part in a variety of events and competitions, including tug of war, handicrafts, stock judging, sheep shearing, obstacle course, bale push and an inter-club junior challenge at Inglestonford Farm, by kind permission of the Purdie family.

Runner up for the overall was Lower Nithsdale YFC with Annandale YFC settling for third.

Young Farmer of the Year – 1, Scott Service, Stranraer and Rhins; 2, Ross Campbell, Machars, and Scott Cruickshanks, Stewartry; 3, Ross Boyd, Lower Nithsdale.
