Cow trek

NEARING THE end of their annual eight mile trek from their summering ground on the hills above Loch Arkaig these mainly Whitebred Shorthorn cross cows approach their winter quarters at Moy farm on the banks of the Caledonian Canal.

where farm manager Roddy MacLeod crosses them with the Simmental bull to produce replacements for his own use and to sell.
