Sheep rustling can happen on your farm too

A NORTH Berwick farmer has spoken of sheep rustling on his farm to let other farmers know that it can happen anywhere.

Grant Brand, from East Fortune Farm, had one of his pedigree in-lamb Hampshire Down ewes stolen last week, and seemingly slaughtered at the road-side.

Mr Brand had been feeding a flock of 15 in-lamb ewes early in the morning of Friday, November 9, when he noticed they seemed spooked. When daylight came, he noticed that one ewe was missing and there was blood by the roadside.
