A FARMER’S son has died after a crash on a farm road, in Angus, on Saturday evening.
Callum Morrison, 16, was riding a 50cc motorbike which was in a collision with a Range Rover on an access road to Turfachie Farm, near Memus, in Forfar.
Tayside Police said the teenager suffered serious injuries and was treated by an ambulance crew but sadly died at the scene just after 5pm, on Saturday afternoon.
A Tayside Police spokesman said: “Crash investigators have attended at the scene and are making inquiries into the cause of the accident. As with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
The Morrison family have been too upset to comment upon the tragedy, but online tribute pages have been set up in Callum’s memory by his many friends.
“I don’t think I ever had him in the classroom when he wasn’t smiling and I know he will be remembered as a popular guy with a great sense of humour,” said Webster High school year head, Donald Currie.
It is understood the teenager had been due to start an HNC in agriculture at Angus College, this week, to further his studies ahead of a career in farming.
