STEWARTRY YOUNG Farmers are putting on their first pantomime for a number of years this weekend.
The SAYFC’s annual AGM and competitions weekend took place recently in Nairn.
Jennifer Nisbet’s 12-month-old bullock Mister Benz cleaned up at the Ayr young farmers county rally last week, winning both the hook and hoof championships.
It was Biggar YFC’s junior team who took the top award in the young farmer’s stockjudging competition at the recent Ayr Show with a score of 816 points. The winning team consisted of Euan Orr, David Paterson and Tom Linton.
TV PRESENTER Matt Baker has been elected to serve as president of the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs, in England.
AYRSHIRE DISTRICT Young Farmers Clubs will be celebrating 10 years of their Ayrshire Rally being held at Craig Wilson Auction Mart this weekend, Saturday May 21.
FIFE AND Kinross District Young Farmers topped the National Association’s rugby sevens competition on a scorching day at the Howe of Fife Rugby Club, Cupar, recently.
The West Region of the Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs held their annual drama festival at Denny Civic Theatre, Dumbarton last weekend.
