MORE than 200 points separated the top three teams at the recent East Region 10-pin bowling competition held at Bowlplex, Dunfermline last week.
A total of 16 teams entered with the hopes of qualifying for the National final, but pulling out all the stops to finish in first place with 1011 points was the team from Strathearn JAC, with members Catherine Smith, Steven Dempsey, Keith Kirk, Duncan Robertson, Liam Kirk and Freya Carmichael.
Picking up 950 points on the board were Robin Norrie, Luke Yarr, Robin Baillie, Kevin Zimmerman, Meryl Yarr and Jane Neill, from Brechin JAC, while Aberfeldy JAC's Derek Corbitt, Jillian Kennedy, Amy Kennedy, Leanne Walker, Katrina Kennedy and Craig Johnstone finished in third with 890 points.
There were further celebrations for the Strathearn team when Keith Kirk clocked up the most individual points on the day to take home the 'King Pin' title.
