BRAVING the worst of the weather from Storm Gertrude, some 115 members of the North Region travelled to Newtonmore for the annual North Region Conference weekend at the end of January.
Held at the Highlander Hotel, delegates put on their finest to attend a formal dinner dance on the Friday evening with guest speaker Harry Lindsey, a farmer from the Howe o' the Mearns and former member of Fettercairn JAC.
The mid-point assembly - which gives members the chance to discuss upcoming events and competitions - was hosted on the Saturday morning by North chairman, Ruari Box.
The day continued with members taking part in team games which gave individuals another opportunity to meet others from around the region. The weather conditions led to more entertainment and, proving there are no half measures when it comes to Young Farmer, a 10ft snowman was constructed.
Members used their imaginations to dress up at the wild west-themed disco on Saturday evening (there was even tumbleweed!) before the conference came to a close on the Sunday.
