FIVE teams put their culinary skills to the test at the recent SAYFC Highland Region country cook competition, held at Fortrose Academy, where only two points separated the top two teams.

Awarded the top spot by judges, Anna Mackay and Louise Mackay, with a total of 93 points, were Eilidh Grant and Laura Gunn, from Forss YFC, with the Nairn JAC team of Gus Forbes and Paul Wilson coming in second on 91 points.

Coming in third with 84 points on the board were Rachel Matheson and Jessie Bisset, from InverRoss JAC.
