SEVERAL new staff members have been appointed to SAYFC’s National office in recent weeks as the organisation continues to develop and grow. 

Taking on the role of Agri and Rural Affairs manager to head up the ARA committee and co-ordinate training activities as well as liaise with agricultural bodies regarding current affairs, is Clare Sturla. Having studied for an MSc in International Social Policy at university and previously worked in the House of Commons, Claire makes the move to SAYFC from Holyrood Communications.

Charged with managing the regional events managers as well as formulating and implementing communications is Sheena Foster, who has been appointed the role of national events and communications manager. Sheena has been an active member of East Kilbride since the age of 14 and has taken on several top jobs such as secretary and chairman of Lanarkshire district, as well as chairman of the West Region.

Katie Warnock has been appointed as East Region events manager, and will organise East events as well as provide clubs in the region with support and guidance. She achieved a first class honours in International Hospitality, and is looking forward to event planning.
