FOR the second year in succession, Ayr YFC topped the senior foursomes competition which was held alongside the junior speechmaking at RBS Gogarburn, Edinburgh, at the start of the month.

This year’s gardening-themed competition saw both the junior and senior entries enter sewn garden gloves, a decorated watering can, a floral display incorporating a garden implement, and a further article, with points also awarded for appearance and display.

The Ayr YFC team of Hazel Limond, Gail Limond, Shona McHarg and Alice Allan, secured first place, with Hazel, Gail and Shona all winning individual prizes for having the best garden gloves, watering can and flower display, respectively.
