THERE was a near full house at the East Region squash and badminton competitions, held at Kinross Live Active and Loch Leven Community Campus, respectively.
This was the first year the squash competition was included in the East syllabus and with 14 members taking part, there is no doubt it will return next year.
From two leagues it was Aberfeldy JAC’s Jillian Kennedy that secured the red ticket having won her final against Gavin Hardie, of Kinross JAC, with fellow Kinross member, Ian Cullens, finishing in third.
A strong entry of 22 teams took park in the badminton competition, in four leagues spread across four courts. Taking the top title here were David Black and Kirsty Kinloch, of Kinross JAC, while two teams from Strathearn JAC came second and third – James Peters and Rebecca Roddis finished second with Ewan Lambie and Katie Roddis in third.
