IT'S ENOUGH to give Scotland's dairy farmers the hump - camel milk has become the latest craze among fitness fanatics.

With 10 times more iron and triple the vitamin C of cow's milk, it is being shipped into the UK through Holland, with a half litre selling for £19.

Online retailer, MuscleFood.com, launched the milk last week and has sold 450 bottles, a quarter of which went to Scottish buyers.

Believed to be the closest alternative to human breast milk, small scale studies have claimed it has positive effects on conditions such as autism.

Darren Beale from MuscleFoods.com said: "The health benefits are huge - it's packed with essential vitamins and minerals."

Rumous has it Robert Graham is currently over in the Sahara checking out on camels - for yet another first for Graham's The Family Dairy.
