On-line and supermarket food providers are cashing in on the fact that some consumers ‘couldn’t give a duck’ about where their food comes from.
Gressingham Duck is a well-known culinary dish from the county of Suffolk and is sold with the Red Tractor logo.
Yet some products, in fact, contain Pekin breed meat from Thailand which is mentioned in extremely small print on the offending packages.
And, once again, some of the ‘offenders’ have put it down to an ‘accident’, while others state that their labelling is perfectly clear. Aye right!
