AS our special feature last week amply illustrated, the Scottish Government has ambitious forestry planting targets, backed up with some seriously good grant incentives.
However, I do believe that one local council in Aberdeenshire went a wee bit over the top recently and planted out the local football park adjacent to Logie Durno primary school, near Inverurie.
Certainly, a back four of static trees would be just about as good for a few Premier League teams whose centre halves ‘couldn’t keep hens oot o’ a midden’ – especially those wearing blue.
