SIR, – The die is cast and there is no merit in looking back. Scotland and the UK must now seize the opportunities that lie ahead free from the stranglehold of EU Rules and Regulations. Any industry that believes that its very survival depends on tax payer subsides is deluded. I also doubt whether the CAP budget will even survive post 2020.
The new reality is that we are heading out of the EU and the sooner the SNP gets a grip and fights for Scotland as part of the UK the better.
I can foresee some fantastic opportunities ahead for our brightest and best, that would not have happened had we remained in the EU. We are living in interesting times and yes there will be winners and there will be losers. There will be a big shake up of the status quo – but that is no bad thing!
