SIR, – It is understandable that Mike Rumbles MSP is voicing his concern as SSE announces its proposed route between its Blackhillock and Kintore substations.
Regardless of where the final route is confirmed, it is hugely important that the likes of landowners and farmers within the identified route corridor seek advice from a valuer and solicitor before entering into any agreement with a utility firm with regards to land purchase and/or compensation.
In most cases, the resulting fees will be paid for by the utility. It is worth considering now how this might affect your property and the potential disturbance this project may cause.
