Sir, On the political podium, under cloak of “Climate Change” when the corruption and calamity of policy and funding for the industrialisation and desecration of Scotland’s precious land and landscape to the big extractive exploitative forestry and wind industries has been cast to the cataclysmic cavern it deserves, only the great wonder and phenomenom of traditional hillfarming endures.
Respect for land, people and grazing animals of the ecology of true traditional hillfarming, gives the culture of agriculture, to fit local in the global context; but where is government-led policy, funding and support? As the only viable, sustainable groundbase to underpin 6000 years of Scotland’s great civilisation, traditional hillfarming must rise supreme as phoenix out of the ashes to win the day. But what choice in your MP for rural Scotland? Which shoes to choose out of total turmoil?
