Where should the women's land army memorial be sited?

AT ST ANDREWS, union president, Jim McLaren, said that an agreement had been struck with the Crown Estate to find a suitable spot to site a memorial statue to the courageous women who fed Britain during World War 2 – the Land Army.

Surely this splendid idea for a memorial should be able to rely on a site of the industry’s choosing. Kittochside, near East Kilbride, or the RHAS site at Ingliston should surely be the chosen venue.
