THIS week saw the finish of two entertainment 'programmes' which have lifted the gloom of farming folk throughout the country.
'This Farming Life' on BBC 2, which ended its series on Wednesday, became compulsive viewing, not only in farming households, but across the wider spectrum, as it charted the everyday life of five diverse, but compelling, farming families and businesses.
Congratulations are due to all involved!
Similarly, the round of SAYFC talent concerts and competitions have reached its annual crescendo - and now it's on with the spring work!
Here again, though, the sheer professionalism, dedication and hard work put on by a whole host of cast members, producers and backstage hands provided yet another shining example of how this great industry of ours will survive and prosper through thick and thin!
Take a bow all - Scottish farming plc is justifiably proud of your achievements.
