THE Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors is predicting that farm land prices will continue to slide post-Brexit, though more farmland is expected to be put up for sale in the short term.
This news will be welcomed by those who seek to gain entry to the industry or expand, but bemoaned by land agents and those hoping to sell. It was ever thus!
However, anything that helps tie the value of land to its productive capacity must be beneficial in the long term.
