THE rain threatened but didn't come to much as Stonehouse show enjoyed at blustery day last Saturday.
Numbers were strong across the livestock sections, but on the day it was the leader from the beef cattle classes that was tapped out as the days' champion of champions.
Robert and Craig Ferguson, of Riverdale, Gilmourton, saw their 13-month-old, three quarters British Blue-bred heifer, Ya Wee Beauty lead the way, on her first show outing this year.
Leading the way in the sheep section was the Texel gimmer from Iain Struthers, Collielaw, Carluke.
Over in the Clydesdale section, it was the Donalds, of Craigview, Strathaven with Boat Lady Annabell, on her first outing this year, taking the top award.
